Directed by Samuthirakani, "BRO" is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language supernatural fantasy comedy film with a screenplay by Trivikram Srinivas. Produced by People Media Factory and Zee Studios, this Telugu adaptation of the 2021 Tamil movie presents a mixed cinematic experience. To enhance its commercial appeal, the Telugu version heavily relies on the charisma of power star Pawan Kalyan. The writing team ingeniously integrates popular Pawan Kalyan hit songs throughout the film, syncing them with the narrative context, sometimes seamlessly, and at other times, a bit forced. The initial half sees success in this thematic approach, providing entertainment as Pawan Kalyan, in the role of TIME, appears in various characters, showcasing his top-class form with captivating costumes and histrionics. The inclusion of subtle political dialogues adds a smart touch without feeling out of place.





Production Details: Following the success of "Vinodhaya Sitham" in December 2021, Samuthirakani was approached to remake the film in Telugu. However, he chose not to return as an actor and aimed to cast another star. In February 2023, the film was officially launched with Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej, playing the roles of Samuthirakani and Thambi Ramaiah, respectively, from the original version. Initially titled "PKSDT," featuring Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej in the lead roles, the film adopted the name "BRO" in May 2023. Principal photography commenced in Hyderabad that same month.

In May 2023, Sai Dharam Tej's character was revealed as Markandeyulu "Mark." The film presents a fresh take on the original storyline, infusing Telugu cinema with supernatural elements and comedy, anchored by the charismatic performances of the lead actors.
